" .... Just wanted to let you know WALTER is getting acclimated very well to his new surroundings and is already great friends with his older sister Olivia (our Brittany). He wasn't too excited with the 3 hour car ride home Saturday but since then he's been eating, sleeping, and playing a lot. Also, the vet checked him out Sunday and everything looked great. I've attached a picture of the two hanging out in one of the dog beds." Justin & Jennifer Garver |

".... I hope this finds the both of you well! I just thought I would send you a quick update on STELLA. I can't even begin to tell you the joy she has brought to our family! We absolutely adore her! It's hard to believe she is 8 months old today! It seems like we just got her. Our friends and family are amazed at how well behaved she is and how well she gets along with other dogs and children. Stella definitely likes playing with her toys and loves having her belly rubbed. I've attached a pic of Stella before her first grooming for you as well. Enjoy the rest of your summer!" Susan Munie

" .... STELLA trying to figure out which you to play with...good luck this weekend with all of your puppy pick-ups! Again, I can't tell you how pleased and happy with are with our little one. She has learned how to go up the stairs, but has no clue how to come down them yet. So she will stand at the top and cry until we get her...she's a mess, but we love her!" Susan Munie

" .... I can't even begin to tell you how well STELLA is doing! We are very happy to have her as part of our family. All of our friends and neighbors are asking to babysit for us. She is doing really well with her kennel training. I actually had to wake her up this morning to take her outside. We've had several evenings where she has slept though the entire night. She is doing pretty good with her potty training also. Of course, it has snowed since we picked her up and she loves playing in it. We took her for her wellness check and she weighs 8 pounds.I've attached several pictures and I will continue to send them to you. Oh and by the way, she is super spoiled already. Mark made fun of me today about the amount of toys she has already. She's so cute, I just can't help myself." Susan Munie |

He's starting to tell us when he needs to go outside and he just loves the snow! He is full of energy and loves meeting new people. As of Monday 4/1 he is a strapping 18 lbs! Here are a few pictures showing how much he's grown over the last few months. He is an adorable ball of fur!" - The Kelley's |

".... Hi there!! haven't checked in for awhile, but we are enjoying our wonderful and loving puppy. WRIGLEY couldn't be a better dog, we love him so much we can't remember life without him. He is really smart, and soooo good. Here are some pictures to enjoy. Thanks again." Molly Standard Sent: Sunday, August 25, 2013
".... WRIGLEY loves, car rides. Whenever we start putting on our shoes or I go for my purse, he runs to the back door and waits. He also has learned to open closed doors, so when we're in our room or in the shower, he wants to be right with us, he'll reach up and pull down on the door handle and come right in, once he's in, he lays down on the floor and waits for us. He is just so loving, I couldn't have asked for a more perfect dog." Molly Standard |

" .... I just wanted to give you an update. WRIGLEY has been wonderful!! We've got the house training down to a science, we've trained Wrigley with a bell, and he's got it down pat!! He is very lovable.... The first couple nights were very long, he cried all night long, so we actually moved his kennel in our bedroom and he slept through the night!!! Now, it's so cute, by 9:30 he whines to go to bed, and now that we are letting him come into the family room on his own, he actually walks to his kennel and puts himself to bed. He is so cute, but at the same time so very handsome. He has a great stature and holds himself so well. Even the vet said he was a good looking pup!! .... "

.... I just wanted to update you on our puppy FINNEGAN! He is adjusting well. He went to the vet yesterday and he checked out OK. He got lots of attention by the office staff (which he loved). We then got home and played and played. The attached is a picture of him after his big afternoon. He was exhausted. Overall he is doing great, he’s got some sharp teeth - loves to chase toes, loves his crate for naps and bedtime, and is ‘kinda’ getting the hang of our bell training, outside potty routine. The tricky part is that he loves the snow so much, that when we put him out, he eats it, so it’s been hard to control his liquid intake for the timing of our potty breaks. We’ll get there. Thanks again! We’ll update you in a few weeks!! Carrie Pontzius |

" .... Al-Lee has slept all nite for the last 2 nites. At least 6 hours. She is having a problem with biting which we are working on. She loves the snow, I don't think she knew what to make of it. We took her to the Vet today, she did a blood test on her and everything checked out ok. .... " Alice Alexander |

"….we are completely enjoying our little FINNEGAN and that he's quickly adapting to his new home. When we brought him home, he was immediately welcomed by our next door neighbors and their new puppy, Fred. Fred is just 11 days older than Finnegan and they have quickly become best friends. They just love playing with each other. Finnegan had to learn how to go up and down the few steps from our backyard deck so that he could keep up with his new buddy. He and Fred have the same vet and he did great at his first vet appointment - he actually slept through most of it. He also went to his first puppy socialization class this week and we both had a great time. Every day he seems to be getting a little bolder and more comfortable. It's so fun to watch him discover and react to new experiences. Thank you again for making all this possible. He has brought so much joy into our lives and we look forward to many years of living with this sweet, funny, little guy. Here are a few pictures of him in his new backyard...." Terry Meredith |

".... Just wanted to send you a quick note to let you know KIWI is an absolute joy to have in our family! I thought the one picture of her looking up was cute :) It was right after the first snow storm this year. She gets along wonderfully with our kids and Maggie (the 12 year old Wheaten we have). As for the other picture, well, that just goes to show you how “comfortable” she is... that is her normal sleeping position around the house. ;) We can’t speak highly enough about her. I just thought you would like to know she was doing great." Denise Cole |

"... We named our new pup ROSIE! Here are some photos of her. She is doing really well and is loving her new home. She and Zoie, our 8 year-old Wheaten have bonded very well. I am a bit tired as I have been getting up with her at 5 a.m., for several days in a row to take her potty, but she is worth it! Kids are loving her too. We have had some great laughs at her, she is actually funny and quite energetic!!! THANKS so much for letting this beautiful dog come into our world!" Corie Mustoe

"…. We are nuts about her already…. After our 3 a.m. outing she was “game for a party”! So I played with her for over 30 minutes. She was running, jumping, kissing, rolling in a blanket on the floor! Pretty funny stuff.… we went to our local pet boutique/pet store. She went in with us and made quite an appearance. People were loving all over her. She did well there. We bought her some chewies and some reward treats…."

I just wanted to send you a quick note to let you how much we love GUS!! Here is a little overview for you!!
Potty training: He has good days and bad. He has yet to learn that it is okay to go both #1 and #2 in the same trip.
Favorite Toy: ME, especially my hands. We are having a hard time teaching him not to bite. Any tips?! His other favorite toy is the shag rug. Oh, and I can’t forget about shoes. Pretty sure he dreams about the next shoe he can find!
Food: He treats every meal like it’s is last supper….he may have learned that from his dad…(sorry husband)
Dog Park: He looks at us like “why in the world would I play with the small dogs when I can play with the big ones”….
Nickname: “Jungle Puppy” – his favorite outdoor activity is to destroy any flower, bush or shrub he can find!
But again, thank you so much for such a fun, loving, and friendly dog. He has brought so much Joy and laughter to our family! Pretty sure my parents’ next dog will be a Wheaten! Attached are a few pictures.
All the best – Seth and Darcy Jones….and Gus too!

"....She (SHADOW) is very smart and that is coming from a person that raised, showed and trained German Shepherds in my younger years. She is very easy to train and will learn something by just watching our older dog. Not always desirable things. She seems to be very healthy and stays in excellent weight…. Housebreaking was fairly easy, from some of the stories I had been told thought it would be harder. The only problem we are having with her is that she thinks water was made just for her. Feet, head, body whatever will fit into the bowl is what she wants. She will be a blast at the lake next year…. We really love her and I am so glad you decided to give her up. My kids come to see her not us and argue who will babysit her if we are gone for a day. We went to Denver in the bus and she went along and did just fine. Easy to travel with. Loves to go in the car, now that it is cooler so I can take her. Just an all around good dog...."
"....Here are some pictures of SHADOW. She does love her stuffed animals. Has to have her pet pillow every night to sleep. This morning the poodle took her pet and she took it from him and put it upon her chair with her. She is really funny and very smart…. My vet thinks she is the best Wheaten ever. Says he has never seen one as calm as she is. Of course she is behaving when she is there. He hasn’t seen her at home. Everyone comments of what a nice dog she is. Thank you again…. Yes can use any of the pictures on your web page. I like the one where she is watching TV. She loves animal planet...." "....Again thank you very much for SHADOW. I trained German Shepherds for 28 years and have never had a dog as smart as Shadow. It is just her and myself right now so I suppose that is part of it but she is truly incredible. Here are some more pictures. I have never had a dog on the furniture before but as you can see she has changed all of that. Wouldn't you think she could have her own bed...." Donna Schnuelle |

Subject: Shelby @ 1 year old Sherry and Steve, I’ve been meaning to send this picture for a couple of months, ever since her first birthday. I took the picture in a similar pose to when I picked her up last year so people can compare the difference. SHELBY has turned into a wonderful dog. We weren’t sure who would make it out alive during the housebreaking period because having a new puppy in a 5th floor condo during a Chicago winter is probably an experience we won’t do again. But we all made it and couldn’t be more pleased with her personality. She’s a cuddler and a smiler, and of course everyone comments on how adorable she is. Still trying to figure out how to get her to poop on our time and not hers, but other than that, she’s still perfect. Thanks again for continuing the legacy. Patrick Tallon |
