Please double check your email address to make sure it is spelled correctly. When I try to reply, it can only send to the address you've typed in. Recently I've had some that came back as undeliverable because "the recipient's domain does not exist" or "the address you sent your message to wasn't found at the destination domain. It might be misspelled or it might not exist". Sometimes it's easy for me to see if it's a common domain. If not, I'm just out of luck in answering. So I've added a place for phone number as back up contact.
CONTACT FORM
Our puppies are $1795, price includes all sales taxes, same price, male or female. If you are interested in one of our puppies, you can view our terms below for our guarantees and you can view our full Puppy Contract "WESTWIND PURCHASE AGREEMENT" by clicking on the file link later on this page. You may contact us via the contact form on this page, or by clicking the link to our email at the bottom of any of our pages. Those placing deposits will be guaranteed a puppy of the gender requested and will be reserved in the order in which the deposits are received. We do not reserve by a specific female's litter. If you wish to be guaranteed a puppy, we require a $200 non-refundable surety of action deposit toward the upcoming litters, we no longer maintain a "waiting list", only a deposit list. Depending on which female is expecting, we accept deposits for about 6 puppies, 2 or 3 of each gender per litter. The balance of $1595 (plus shipping cost if required) will be due when the puppy is picked up or prior to shipping of puppy. If shipping a puppy, all paperwork must be completed, signed and returned to us prior to your puppy being shipped.
TOTAL PUPPY COST $1795.00 effective Sept 1, 2020 Because our puppies are placed with families all over the country, while the puppies are growing up I try to update each litter's page weekly, listed by the dam's name under the PUPPIES section, so families are able to watch the puppies grow up. Then when the puppies are between 6 and 7 weeks, we post several individual pictures and videos of the puppies, and then ask those with deposits to email us their opinions on their choices in order, and ask them to fill out the QUESTIONNAIRE about their lifestyle and family. After making the final puppy/family matches we will email the new families pictures of their new puppy. This system has worked out very well for us as can be witnessed by reading the wonderful comments from the families that adopt our puppies on the FAMILIES pages. I always leave up the most recent litter's page with the individual pictures and videos so potential adopters can see examples of what to expect to see from our upcoming litters.

We tend to have puppies available every couple of months or so. Our girls are smart, fun-loving beautiful girls that raise fabulous puppies. We are with our puppies when they are born and handle our puppies daily, they grow up knowing people are good and loving and we have very happy social puppies. We put different colored rick-rack collars on them when they are born to be able to identify them. You can read the happy comments from the new "parents" of our puppies in the emails we receive on the FAMILIES pages. Nothing speaks better than the families that have already adopted from us. We prefer our puppies to go to their new families as close to 8 weeks as possible. It is the best age for them to bond with their new families.

SUGGESTED READING
Wheatens are a wonderful breed, and they most definitely have that cuddly teddy bear super cute factor going for them, but they are NOT an impulse buy. For those of you who are interested in adding a Wheaten as your new family member and may have never met one, we strongly suggest reading up about them and make sure they are the right fit for your family. I am an avid reader, and have read everything about Wheatens I can get my hands on. They are very informative as to the insights into their unique personality. The ones I suggest the most are listed here.
A book I HIGHLY recommend and consider a MUST READ for anyone wanting to adopt a puppy from us or a puppy of any breed is The Art of Raising a Puppy by The Monks of New Skete. This book has nothing to do with religion, they are just wonderful long time dog breeders and have a wonderful way of presenting the information for anyone to understand. This book is not breed specific but a fabulous helpful tool for anyone adopting a puppy and wanting a well-behaved and happy life-long companion. The Monks have raised German Shepherds for 40 years and helped countless other clients with problem dogs. It helps you to see why dogs act like they do and teaches you to be the "pack leader" and earn your dog's respect, not fear. Wonderfully written, easy to understand, and explains with text and pictures. This book was referred to me and I found it so insightful, I am now recommending it to you. You can usually find them used on eBay or Amazon for discounted prices as well. I have them on my phone, on my Kindle Fire and in hard cover print book.

SHIPPING (revised June 2022)
We like to have you pick the puppy up, but understand this is not always possible. If SHIPPING is needed, we can fly your puppy to a major airport near you DEPENDING ON WEATHER. We are at the mercy of airline temperature restrictions and flying during the Summer when the weather is too hot or the Winter when it is too cold will be more difficult to arrange, sometimes impossible. It also depends on the receiving air terminal's air temperature and receiving accommodations and any layover destinations in between.
We had researched and found United's PetSafe program allowed shipping at lower temperatures than other airlines. But with the onset of COVID, United stopped shipping pets via cargo. Delta and Southwest have also stopped shipping pets as cargo. I have found American and Alaska Airlines are still shipping as of June 2022. Since this happened, most of our puppy adopters have been flying in to Omaha and picking up their puppy and flying back with them in the cabin of the plane, then weather is not an issue. United is not an option for this as they have raised the age limit for puppies flying in cabin to 16 weeks. A 16 week old Wheaten puppy is too large to fit in the maximum sized soft sided carrier they allow in cabin to fit under the seat in front of you. At last check, Delta and Southwest are still allowing puppies to fly in cabin and only need to be 8 weeks old.
Our last 6 to 7 flights have cost us about $50-$60 more than we were charging so we had to increase the cost and are now calculating on a case by case basis. The cost to fly a puppy is $475 and up, we charge only what it costs us, and we don't charge for our trip to the airport. The cost includes the cost of the flight, the pet carrier (a nice one, not a small one), required food/water dish for carrier, reusable fleece rug, health papers, priority mail shipping for puppy kit that must be shipped to you separately. I don't know the cost of plane tickets, but we have had some fly in cheaper than what it costs to fly a puppy cargo. They are small enough at weaning time that many airlines will allow them to be taken as a carry on in an airline carrier and fly home with you in the cabin of the plane. If you do, we are about an hour from Eppley Airfield in Omaha, Nebraska, and will meet you with your puppy there to enable you to book a round-trip flight with a short layover time and not have to rent a car and drive the hour down to us and then back. If this interests you, please check with your airline on their specific conditions and regulations.
