Associação Ferroviária de Esportes, commonly referred to as simply Ferroviária, is a Brazilian association football club in Araraquara, São 🌧️ Paulo.
They currently play in the Série D, the fourth tier of Brazilian football, as well as in the Campeonato Paulista, 🌧️ São Paulo's premier state league.
Founded on April 12, 1950, Ferroviária is the only Araraquara club to reach the Campeonato Paulista 🌧️ first division.
The club's best campaign in that competition was in 1959, when the club finished in the third position.
It is 🌧️ also the only club of the city to have competed in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série B.
The club competed in this 🌧️ competition in 1995.
They play in carmine shirts, white shorts and socks.

The club was founded on April 12, 🌧️ 1950, by engineers of Estrada de Ferro Araraquara (meaning Araraquara Railroad).
Antônio Tavares Pereira Lima was chosen as the club's first 🌧️ president.
Initially the club's colors were to be blue and white, like the Rio de Janeiro city team.
However, these colors were 🌧️ not very popular, and were changed to carmine and white, like the Juventus ones.
On May 13, 1951, the club played 🌧️ their first match ever.
The club beat Mogiana of Campinas 3–1.
The club's first goal was scored by Fordinho in that match.
On 🌧️ May 20, 1951, the club played their second match, in Taquaritinga city.
It was also the club's first defeat.
Linense, of Lins, 🌧️ beat Ferroviária 2–1.
On June 10, 1951, Ferroviária's stadium, called Estádio Fonte Luminosa, was inaugurated.
In the inaugural match, Vasco da Gama, 🌧️ of Rio de Janeiro, beat Ferroviária 5–0.
On July 1, 1951, Ferroviária played their first match against a club from the 🌧️ same city.
Ferroviária was defeated by Paulista (Araraquara) 4–0.
On April 15, 1956, Ferroviária beat Botafogo of Ribeirão Preto 6–3 in the 🌧️ Campeonato Paulista Second Division final stage (disputed by eight teams playing against each other twice), and won the title and 🌧️ the promotion to the following year's first division.
In the last match of the competition, Ferroviária beat Portuguesa Santista 5–4.
In 1983, 🌧️ Ferroviária competed in the Brazilian Série A, finishing in the 12th position.
In 1994, the club was the runner-up of the 🌧️ Brazilian Série C, after losing to Novorizontino 1–0 in the first leg, at home, and 5–0 in the second leg, 🌧️ in Novo Horizonte.
The club was promoted to the following year's second division.
From 1994 until 1996, the Ferroviária participated in the 🌧️ top division of São Paulo state championship, having Otavio Augusto (Otavio Braga) as their topscore in 1994 with 8 goals 🌧️ and in 1996 with 6 goals.

The Campeonato Brasileiro de Futebol
Feminino (Brazilian Women's National Championship), also known as Brasileirão Feminino,
📉 is an annual Brazilian women's club football tournament organized by the Confederação
Brasileira de Futebol, or CBF. It is the 📉 country's premier women's football competition
and the first professional women's league in the country.
History [ edit ]
Brazil had a
tournament 📉 called Taça Brasil de Futebol Feminino (Women's Football Brazil Trophy, in
English) played between 1983, and 1989, followed by Torneio 📉 Nacional (1990 and 1991)
and Taça Brasil de Clubes (1993). A competition also named Campeonato Brasileiro de
Futebol Feminino which 📉 was a forerunner of the current tournament, was founded in 1994,
ran that season, was cancelled in 1995 and re-instated 📉 in 1996 being played until 2001.
When it folded, the country was left with only state football leagues for women
📉 available in few states and no national tournament.
In 2006, another national
tournament attempt was made, organized by the Amateur Paulista 📉 Football Federation
(Federação Paulista de Futebol Amador, FPFA) and the National Football League (Liga
Nacional de Futebol, LINAF), it was 📉 called Taça Brasil de Futebol Feminino. The
tournament was contested in Jaguariúna, São Paulo state on its first year (2006) 📉 and in
multiple towns of Rio de Janeiro state on its second year (2007).[1]
In 2007, CBF
created the Copa do 📉 Brasil de Futebol Feminino, a national cup tournament, and in 2013,
a national league competition was founded, the Campeonato Brasileiro 📉 de Futebol
Feminino, with a short three-month season initially.[2][3] In 2024, teams that reached
the knock-out stage got a financial 📉 support of about USD 3,000 for a home-and-away
round plus air or road transport cost paid.[4]
Format [ edit ]
Up to 📉 2024, 20 teams
took part in the competition. In the first round there were four groups of five teams
that 📉 play each other within the group once. The top two of each group move on. In the
second round eight 📉 teams were put into two groups of four. Teams play each other twice
and the top two teams move to 📉 the two leg semi-finals, with the winners moving to the
two leg final.[2]
In 2024 the league was restructured and the 📉 first level, now called
Série A1, has 16 teams in one group. After playing each other the top 8 teams 📉 move to
the play-offs. There is also relegation/promotion to the new Série A2, which will also
have 16 teams split 📉 in two groups of eight teams.[5] In 2024, the Série A3 was created
with 32 teams taking part.[6][7]
